Security Policy
Ensuring safe operation of Brno-Tuřany Airport for its employees, customers and cooperating partners is one of the main priorities of the management of LETIŠTĚ BRNO a.s.
The management of the company is aware that safety of operation is the key to its business success. Accordingly, the company's management aims to provide airport operation services, apron traffic management services, airport check-in services and related activities at Brno-Tuřany Airport in such a way that:
- prevent aviation accidents, which could arise as a result of the company's activities,
- minimise the occurrence of aviation incidents and events,
- minimize the occurrence of accidents, incidents and events in other areas of its operations.
Management is committed to:
- establish, maintain, regularly evaluate and continuously improve its Safety Management System (SMS) and Aviation Data and Information Quality Management System (QMS) and Information and Cyber Security Management System (ISMS);
- establish and maintain an Acceptable Level of Safety (ALS) and take effective measures in all areas of operation and at all levels of management to achieve it and to further improve the level of operational safety;
- set and update specific targets, indicators and objectives to achieve the Acceptable Level of Safety for each year and ensure that safety performance is measured against the targets set;
- continuously identify, analyze and take effective preventive measures in all areas of operations and at all levels of company management to minimize existing and potential hazards to the lowest reasonably achievable level according to the ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) concept;
- collect and evaluate all safety-related operational stimuli and establish and maintain a database of safety stimuli, events, incidents and accidents;
- promote, develop and deepen the safety awareness and culture of all company employees through a personal approach to their duties;
- provide sufficient financial, material and personnel resources necessary to ensure an acceptable level of operational safety and to reduce the level of identified risks and, within the Company's financial capabilities, put into practice modern information technology, software and the latest technical knowledge and procedures that can substantially improve safety levels;
- ensure compliance with the requirements of the applicable legislation in the area of safety of the activities carried out and, where possible and appropriate, innovate beyond the established requirements;
- clearly define and continuously update the powers, duties and responsibilities of all company personnel with a view to ensuring an acceptable level of operational safety;
- encourage behavior in which employees at all levels:
- carry out assigned activities and tasks in an orderly, conscientious manner and in accordance with standard operating procedures with a view to ensuring an acceptable level of safety;
- actively help to improve these procedures in order to increase the level of safety of the activities performed;
- in the event of the detection of an acute safety hazard, take all possible measures to prevent the occurrence of an incident or accident without endangering the health, life or property of themselves or others;
- report immediately on:
- incidents, serious incidents and accidents through the Mandatory Reporting System,
- things and events that threaten or could threaten the safety of operations through the Voluntary and Confidential Reporting System,
- the occurrence of wildlife or birds on the airport premises;
- tolerate behavior in which employees at any level:
- fail to perform assigned activities and tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with applicable legislation and standard operating procedures;
- violates safety regulations and standard operating procedures in an arbitrary, gross or deliberately negligent manner;
- do not pay attention to operational safety and do not report events that could affect the level of safety;
- late prohibited substances before or while performing a function;
- create and apply the principles of fair judgement ("just culture") or foster a company culture and take measures that will lead to open discussion of safety issues by employees with company management and, in particular, not to disclose or use information about incidents:
- to attribute blame or responsibility to frontline personnel or others for actions, omissions or decisions they have taken that are commensurate with their experience and training; or
