Security rules and policies

General rules for passengers

  • Familiarize yourself with all carriage conditions before traveling to the airport. If in doubt, contact the airline you are flying with or the airport information desk. When preparing for your trip, check whether the items you plan to transport are not prohibited.
  • For a smooth check-in process, arrive at the airport with sufficient time in advance. When checking in at the counter, ask the staff if any items you plan to carry in your cabin baggage need to be transferred to checked baggage.
  • Upon arriving at the security checkpoint, wait until it is your turn. Respect the designated lanes and follow the instructions of the security staff to help ensure a smooth screening process.
  • Present all liquids, aerosols, and gels separately for screening, outside of your cabin baggage.
  • Remove larger electronics (laptop, etc.) from your baggage and place them into a screening tray.
  • Place your baggage on the x-ray conveyor belt.
  • Place all items—such as your mobile phone, keys, cigarettes, coins, and wallet—into a screening tray.
  • Place your outer garments (coat, jacket) into a tray as well.
  • Wait for instructions from the security officer and walk through the metal detector when prompted. Calmly accept any request for additional screening; it is not directed at you personally.
  • Your baggage and placed items will undergo security screening. If you are asked by a security officer to open your baggage or present an item for further inspection, please cooperate and comply without objection. After the screening is completed, remember to retrieve your baggage and all personal items.
  • Do not leave your baggage unattended!
  • Follow the instructions of airport staff.
  • Observe the no-smoking policy inside the terminal building.
