1. Arrival at the airport
The check-in process usually starts 2–3 hours before the scheduled departure
time and ends 40–30 minutes before departure. We recommend arriving early to
allow enough time for check-in and security screening.
The airport is easily accessible by car, public transport and taxi. Parking is
available directly outside the terminal.
2. Passenger and baggage check-in
In the departure hall, you will find counters according to your flight number.
Here you will check in your luggage, present your documents and get your
boarding pass.
3. Security and passport control
Before entering the departure area, you will go through security.
For non-Schengen flights, passport control follows.
Travelling with children
Families with children can take advantage of our assistance and services to make
the whole check-in process more pleasant.

We offer assistance and support for passengers with disabilities from arrival at
the airport to boarding the aircraft.

Where can I find the check-in desk?
The counters are located in the departure hall. The information boards show the counter number according to your flight.
Can I check in online?
Yes, most airlines allow online check-in via their website or mobile app. We recommend checking this option with your carrier.
What do I need to have ready at check-in?
Be prepared with valid travel documents (ID or passport), a ticket or reservation, and a visa if required by the destination country.
How is the security check carried out?
Before entering the departure area, hand luggage and personal items are checked. Liquids must be in containers up to 100 ml in a resealable plastic bag.
Can I take the stroller to the plane?
Yes, most airlines allow you to check your stroller when you board the plane. Upon arrival, it will usually be returned to you at the gate or with your checked luggage.
Is it possible to reserve a parking space?
Parking space can be reserved in advance here. The parking capacity is sufficient.
Is the parking capacity sufficient?
There are 2000 parking spaces available at the airport. You can always park with us.
What if the parking lot is full to capacity?
In this case, we have a back-up car park on the airport premises where our staff will direct you if necessary
Is there any distinction between long term and short term parking?
Yes, short-term parking for 15 min. is available directly in front of the arrival and departure halls. Other spaces are reserved for long-term parking. The car park price list takes longer parking periods into account.
Is the parking lot secure?
The car park is not guarded, but it is fenced and the entrance and exit is secured by a barrier system. The car park is under constant surveillance and airport staff carry out regular and random checks.
When is the parking fee payable?
Pay the parking fee before leaving the car park. After paying the parking fee or redeeming the parking voucher, you will have 20 minutes to leave the car park.
