We have another direct flight connection. The first flight of the new scheduled route to Rome, operated by the Italian airline Aeroitalia, took place today. The aircraft took off for the first time from Brno Airport towards Rome's Fiumicino Airport, thus officially launching the operation of the new route, which will operate twice a week – always on Thursdays and Sundays.

Starting with the summer flight schedule, the route will be served by an Embraer 175 aircraft with a capacity of 88 seats, although a Boeing 737-800 was used for the first flights. There is currently high demand for the connection, and ticket sales are going very well. Passengers can also take advantage of connecting flights operated by Aeroitalia from Rome, for example to Sardinia, Sicily, and Calabria, as part of a single booking, with check-in directly from Brno and a convenient transfer in Rome.

The company LETIŠTĚ BRNO, a.s. was founded in 2001 and continues the long tradition of civil aviation in the Moravian capital. Its core activities include the operation of Brno-Tuřany Airport and the provision of services related to air transport, maintenance
and development of the airport in accordance with the needs of local air transport. In addition to passenger transport, it also handles air cargo, business aviation flights and private and training flights.
