Travelling with children

Since 26.6.2012, it is valid for citizens of the Czech Republic that a child cannot travel outside the Czech Republic only on the basis of the child's entry in the parent's ID card or passport. Travel abroad by Czech citizens (including travel by children) is possible under the following conditions:

• own ID card, which can be issued upon application to a citizen under 15 years of age - only for travel within the EU,
• or own passport,
• or

other type of travel document

in accordance with Act No. 329/1999 Coll., on Travel Documents, as amended.
