FROM TODAY A NEW REGULAR LINE TO BERLIN FLYES FROM BRNO

Press release
Brno, April 2, 2019

From today, 2nd April 2019, Brno and Berlin will be connected twice a week by a new scheduled airline. It will fly from Brno-Tuřany to Berlin Schönefeld Airport as part of Ryanair's summer flight schedule for 2019. For the South Moravian Region and the city of Brno, this is another partial success in an effort to increase the number of scheduled flights from the regional airport.

"Increasing the number of scheduled airlines from Brno is still one of the region's priorities and the main task for me as Governor. I have no doubt that the route to Berlin will be successful in both directions. The South Moravian Region and its surroundings offer countless opportunities for trips and trade, so I expect the new line will bring us more than thousands of visitors. And, of course, we will continue our efforts to expand the offer of regular lines," said Governor of South Moravian Region Bohumil Šimek.

"We are glad that passengers from Brno have the opportunity to fly regularly twice a week between Brno and Berlin. About an hour's flight starts from Brno every Tuesday at 1:00 pm and Saturday at 2:25 pm. We believe that the new route will be a success, and we assume that the number of passengers checked-in in 2019 could be up to 25,000 people on this route," said the Head of Transport Operations Department of BRNO AIRPORT Radek Lang.
