DECISION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC ON EXTENSION OF THE EMERGENCY STATE AND SUBSEQUENT RESTRICTIONS OF AIR TRANSPORT

Press release
Brno, May 5, 2020

In connection with Government measures and the extension of the state of emergency of 28th April 2020, the operation of international commercial flights with passengers on board at Brno-Tuřany Airport continues to be restricted.

The assumption of the resumption of regular flights to London and Milan depends on the lifting of restrictions when crossing the borders not only in the Czech Republic but also in Great Britain and Italy. However, the start date of the flights is still unclear. Passengers are advised to follow the Ryanair website.

Operators of seasonal flights to holiday destinations are still waiting for the development of the situation and the reaction of the market for foreign air travel.

The airport remains in limited traffic. It handles regular and non-scheduled cargo flights, flights of the Air Rescue Service and the Police of the Czech Republic and auxiliary flights in the fight against COVID-19, domestic general aviation and is ready to accept possible repatriation flights, diverted flights and emergency landings.

We will keep you informed of developments.
