Traffic limitations on the D1 motorway concerning the slip road Slatina/Brno-Tuřany Airport (exit 201) – from July to November 2016
Following the directions of the Road and Motorway Directorate (Ředitelství silnic a dálnic), we would like to notify the users of the Brno-Tuřany Airport of construction work being carried out between 3 November (both Sundays) on the D1 motorway between the kilometres 199 and 204. Traffic will be limited in this section and tailbacks are expected in both directions.
Between 3 August construction work will be carried out in the high speed traffic lane of the D1 motorway in the direction from Prague to Olomouc and Ostrava. It will be possible to use the slip road number 201. However, there is a high risk of tailbacks. Anyone travelling to the Brno-Tuřany Airport should be aware of possible delays.
Between 2 September the slip road number 201 (Slatina/Brno-Tuřany Airport) will be closed in the direction from Prague to Olomouc and Ostrava.
The slip road Slatina/Brno-Tuřany Airport (exit 201) in the direction from Vyškov will be open despite ongoing construction work. Still, there will be traffic limitations, which might result in delays caused by tailbacks.
To reach the airport in the direction from Prague, there will be a diversion led through the city. It will be necessary to leave the D1 motorway using the slip road number 196. Drivers should pay special attention to the signs marking the diversion and be aware of possible delays.
During the one-sided closure of the slip road Slatina/Brno-Tuřany Airport (exit 201) in the direction from Prague, it is recommended to use this diversion:
